“The Avengers: Battle For Earth” Defending the Wii U and Xbox 360

I’m pretty sure that if The Avengers film had a tie-in game, it would be flying off the shelves because of the success of the movie. Instead, gamers will be treated to a game that has been inspired by the short comic series Secret Invasion that will be headed to the Wii U and the Xbox 360’s Kinect.

More info after the break.

The game is currently under development by Ubisoft Quebec, also responsible for Assassin’s Creed III on the Wii U, and doesn’t have a launch window yet.

Of course, it will feature our favorite superheroes, like Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and Captain America. The game is apparently taking a bit of a different turn by forgoing the action for something else entirely. Gameplay is supposed to “competitive” but there’s no clear indication of what that could be, especially since the Avengers are a team and co-op would seem to be a no-brainer.

We will have more info on The Avengers: Battle for Earth as it is released.
