New “Ghost in the Shell” Anime Coming This Year
Revealed in the February issue of Kodansha’s Monthly Young Magazine, a new Ghost in the Shell anime, titled “Ghost in the Shell: ARISE,” is set to release later this year.

According to Monthly Young Magazine, the anime will primarily be directed by key animator Kazuchika Kise (Tansuwarashi), written by Tow Ubukata (Mardock Scramble) and composed by Cornelius. Production I.G, the studio Kise is the office director for and the studio that has previously handled GitS, is expected to produce ARISE.
No indication of whether the project will be a film or series, nor a precise launch date given, but an official press conference will be held on February 12, which will most likely detail all there is to know.
