For more details, read after the break.
Lone Wolf And Cub is the tale of Ogami Ittō, the Shogun’s executioner who upon being betrayed, travels the “path of the assassin” with his son Daigorō. The manga was published in the states thanks to Darkhorse, while Media Blasters and AnimEgo licensed its live-action adaptations.
Marissa McMahon, the daughter-in-law of WWE CEO Vince McMahon is producing the project from Kamala Film. 1212 Entertainment is also set to produce as well.
The project was almost in the hands of Darren Aronofsky (The Wrestler, Black Swan) along with Paramount and Mutual Film Company. But Aronofsky wasn’t able to acquire the film rights.
