“Hemlock Grove” Renewed For Second Season
Netlix announced that they will renew Eli Roth’s Hemlock Grove for a second season. The show, based from Brian McGreevy’s supernatural horror novel will be getting a new addition as well.
More details after the break.
It was noted that there’s been an order for 10 episodes for the second season which is three short from the first one. The show will also be getting Charles H. (Chic) Eglee (The Walking Dead, Dexter) as showrunner.
Roth seems excited for season two, hinting that fans may be in for some bigger thrills.
“The worldwide fan response to Hemlock Grove was phenomenal. Netflix members loved the potent combination of sexy monsters, mystery, and the dark family soap opera that ended with a huge twist, leaving audiences worldwide totally shocked,” Roth said. Season One was just a warm up for what we have in store for season two. Get ready to be scared in ways you never expected. “
And from Netflix VP Of Original Content Cindy Holland, it looks like the entertainment provider is banking that Eglee’s addition will bring the show to a new level.
“In its first season, Eli, Brian, Lee and the team did an incredible job of introducing viewers to a unique world of memorable characters, Holland said. Chic’s addition to the show, and his experience on such fan favorites as The Shield, The Walking Dead and Dexter, will heighten the intensity of the mystery that grips Hemlock Grove.”
