Four More Names Up For Harry Osborn In “The Amazing Spider-Man 2″

Following on last week’s report of Brady Corbet, Dane DeHaan and Alden Ehrenreich being up for the role of Harry Osborn in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Hollywood Reporter has suggested that four other names are in consideration for the part.

Last week’s report claimed that Marc Webb and the guys in charge of the Spider-Man franchise were looking for a dark, edgy Osborn Jr. Despite this, the new names that are said to be up for the role are Douglas Booth (Noah), Sam Claflin (Snow White and the Huntsman), Boyd Holbrook (The Host) and Eddie Redmayne (My Week with Marilyn). To me, those names don’t really scream dark and edgy, more representing the athletic, charismatic Harry that was rumored that the producers were looking for initially. It’ll be interesting to see how this develops.

Harry is the son of Norman Osborn and the best friend of Peter Parker. As they say, like father like son, as Harry eventually picks up the Goblin mantle from his father.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits the big screen on May 2nd, 2014, and has Andrew Garfield returning as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy with Shailene Woodley joining as Mary Jane Watson.
