“Eureka Seven” Anime Sequel To Air In The Spring

Earlier today, it was announced that the sequel to Eureka Seven titled “Eureka Seven Ao” would be serialized as a manga in the February issue of Kodakawa Shoten’s Monthly Shounen Ace.

Many had wondered if an anime adaptation of the sequel was just around the corner as well. They’ll be glad to know that is indeed the case.

According to its official website (which launched today), the anime sequel to Eureka Seven is set to air in the upcoming Spring season, April 2012. BONES will once again return to produce the series.

Alternatively titled as Eureka Seven: Astral Ocean, the “real mecha epic” will revolve around a boy named Ao who “set destiny in motion again when he held the power.”

Not much else is known about anime, except that it is expected to follow the manga sequel which will publish in Kodakawa Shoten’s Monthly Shounen Ace on January 26.

Be sure to follow its official website for further details.
