DC Comics Adds Those Missing Issues To The “Green Lantern Omnibus”

A little while back, I wrote up an article about DC’s upcoming Green Lantern by Geoff Johns Omnibus Vol. 1. The book, which is set to be the first in a series of Omnibi collecting the entire run by Geoff Johns, was to be missing a chunk of material from the “Sinestro Corps War” crossover event. Specifically, it wasn’t going to be collecting the issues of Green Lantern Corps that literally tell half of the story.

Well, it looks like DC took notice to the fact that fans weren’t exactly happy about this, and if you take a look at the Amazon blurb about the book now, it’s been amended.

This volume collects: Green Lantern Rebirth #1-6, Green Lantern Corps Recharge #1-5, Green Lantern #1-25, Green Lantern Corps #14-18, Green Lantern: Sinestro Corps Special #1, Green Lantern Secret Files 2005 #1, Tales of the Sinestro Corps: Superman Prime #1 and Green Lantern/Sinestro Corps Secret Files #1.

So the volume will now collect issues #14-18 of GLC, which are the tie-in issues for “Sinestro Corps War.” Issue #19 isn’t collected here, which was an aftermath issue to the event, but the issues doesn’t really feature Hal, so it makes sense that the issue would be omitted from the volume. Also, I’m unsure if it was originally set to collect these issues, but the five issue “Green Lantern Corps Recharge” mini-series is also included now, which was co-written by Dave Gibbons and led into the ongoing GLC series.

Also notable, the book, which was originally listed as $100, has now jumped to being $125.

Ryley is a wannabe web-head and a one time caped crusader who has been collecting and reading comics since before he can remember. When he says “I go both ways” he means he doesn’t like to choose between Marvel or DC. It’s like choosing a favorite child, or a favorite Zelda game. Ryley is also a sucker for well crafted large-format hardcover volumes of comics and has amassed a nice sized collection that he enjoys showing off to anyone who will take a look. Ryley is also married to an amazing woman who for some reason is okay with his compulsive obsessions with collecting comics making lists about literally everything and anything. But mostly about comics.
