Bethesda And “Resident Evil” Creator Announce A New Horror Game

If you’ve been longing for fresh scares from the creator of Resident Evil, your dreams are about to come true. Shinji Mikami’s studio Tango Gameworks is working on a new survival horror game called The Evil Within.

Hit the break for more scares.

Bethesda has been releasing eerie Vine video teasers all week (such as this one from yesterday), but finally fans have a live-action teaser trailer that you can watch here on IGN.

The game is meant to be a “perfect blend of horror and action,” as Resident Evil creator Mikami told IGN. It’s also part of “an exciting new franchise.”

The live-action trailer reveals mutilation from broken glass and barbed wire, and a four-armed woman emerges from a pool of blood at the end. As teasers go, this one is gory and sure to give horror fans some chills of anticipation.

The Evil Within is set for release on next-gen consoles and PC in 2014, with more details coming as early as this coming Monday via IGN.
