Anime Review: Little Busters! – 8

There is something seriously wrong with that dog’s eyes. It’s like you’re not even trying anymore.

This is just laughable. I think this might be the first recruitment to the Little Busters that’s been based on actual skill. And the character in question could not look any less athletic. Figures.

I start most character introductions with the presumed hatred and annoyance. But in Noumi’s debut episode, I didn’t really have an opinion on her. And now that she’s had an episode centered around her, she might actually be the only other character that I like. I don’t know what it is, but I find her genuinely funny. Her whole roommate thing was enjoyable, rather than annoying or trite. I’m not even bothered by her voice anymore. Everything’s coming up Kudo, I guess.

Her supporting cast was pretty fun as well. One of the few times Masato isn’t the butt of all the jokes. And apparently, Yuiko is a lolicon which is inconsequential to most, but hilarious to me. And I didn’t realize it until I started writing this review, but Riki was kind of a non-entity in this episode. He didn’t appear enough times for him to piss me off and anytime that happens; I count it a small victory for me.

I’m surprising myself when I say that this episode was not terrible. In fact, I liked it. Weird…
